The Sarasota Classic Car Museum is pleased to announce the 2023 exhibition The Art of Ferdinand Porsche and Enzo Ferrari. featuring classic automobiles that document the history of both brands as well as the two creative engineers and car designers who forged the companies legacies.

Both Ferdinand Porsche (1875-1951) and Enzo Ferrari (1898-1988 ) began their car companies just after World War ll but both had been heavily involved in automobiles before the war. Porsche designed the Volkswagen Beetle for Hitler as "the peoples car" as well as the Mercedes SSK while Ferrari had been heavily involved in racing and engineering for Alfa Romeo. But both found the end of the war the impetus to create their own narrowly focused car companies.

Today Porsche is part of the Volkswagen Audi group and produces over 250,000 cars a year-sports models, SUVs and sedans. Ferrari has remained much more focused on high performance sports and racing cars and production is under 10,000 cars per year. But both cars and their creators have had an indelible stamp upon automotive history and both brands are known worldwide for innovation, quality and prestige.
